To all my new acquaintances here . . .

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, just writing to let you know that you are free to share any of our posts from either Facebook or from our Blog with or without credit.

As some of you already know, much of the material in our posts are gleaned from either the writings of A.W. Pink, J.C. Philpot, or sometimes from Spurgeon’s Treasury of David and various other Reformed sources. As one celebrated French writer put it, “I have culled a bouquet of varied flowers from men’s gardens, and nothing is my own but the string that binds them.” Yet much IS our own, especially as regards the organization and arrangement of materials etc. And only in our official articles do we quote the original author and reference.

Sometimes we do not quote the author or theologians’ names because folks right away reject it as ‘man’s writings’. (A ploy of the Devil, to keep men from the truth) But there are many expositions, commentaries and illustrations which God has already given to His teachers of old which WE cannot improve on, and to ignore them would be to our loss!

And the idea of quoting them is neither to appear eloquent or rob another man’s writings but to glorify God and edify the brethren. As Boettner wrote in his original introduction to ‘The Reformed Doctrine of Predestination’ – “Anyone is free to use material from this book with or without credit. In preparing this book the author has received help from many sources, some acknowledged and many unacknowledged. He believes the material herein set forth to be a true statement of scripture teaching, and his desire is to further, not to restrict, its use” [God bless him]

In the same vein none of our posts or our articles have any ‘COPYRIGHT’. Our God has taught us to ‘buy the truth, and sell it not’ [Prov 23:23] and again, ‘FREELY you have received, FREELY give’. [Mat 10:8]. It saddens us to see so many in Christendom make merchandise of God’s Word and the revelations that He has given them. How unlike the Apostle who said, “I preach the gospel of Christ WITHOUT CHARGE”! [1Cor 9:18].

So go right ahead and share these posts if God so leads you.

Nothing wrong in charging for the paper, printing and the posting, but to charge for the revelation received is foreign to the Scriptures and the Christian Faith! Even the late Pastor Henry Mahan use to make it very plain that the money he requested for his tapes and books were only for what goes into their production and not for the revelation God gave him! Now THERE’S a Man of God whom God has sent!

All said and done this ‘preaching business’ is just ONE BEGGAR TELLING ANOTHER WHERE TO FIND FOOD! And beggars should not ‘sell’ what God freely gave them!
